Generative Design
More is Different was part of Pierre Cutellic's master thesis and diploma on morphogenetic methods for generative design, exploring a full range of organic and geometric formal logics. On the architectonic basis of an imaginary pavilion, it establishes an ecosystemic set of custom programs and aggregating APIs from various modeling softwares, specific space partition and allocation algorithms. At a time when topological and self-organisational space logics were not so accessible, this work allowed to define the beginnings of The Computational Monkeys' agenda. Pierre's focused work on design computation was awarded summa cum laude, in December 2007, before starting his early career as a consultant for the building industry. From the rich body of work that constituted his diploma, only a few digital master files and prints remain, as precious relics, from a digital storage failure shortly after his graduation.
